The 20 leading mid-size IT consultancies achieved average revenue growth of 14.5 per cent in 2022 (2021: 16.0%), generating total revenues of €3.0 billion (2021: €2.6 billion). Average employee numbers rose by 9.0 per cent in 2022, from around 19,000 to 21,000 in total. For 2023, the companies expect revenues to increase by an average of 12.8 per cent despite the challenging economic circumstances.

The Lünendonk® List forms the basis for the Lünendonk® Survey, which was published at the end of July 2023 and which is available for free download. For the survey, more than 100 IT services providers operating in Germany were comprehensively surveyed in the period from January to April 2023, as well as around 120 decision-makers from medium-sized and large user companies.

Admission criteria for the Lünendonk® List:
Companies make more than 60 per cent of their revenue from IT or management consulting, software development or implementation and system integration, have their headquarters or the majority of their share capital in Germany and achieve a total revenue of up to 500 million euros. Furthermore, if IT consultancies belong to a group, they may only make a maximum of 25 percent of their revenue within the group.

The Lünendonk® Survey 2023 “The Market for IT Services in Germany” will include information based on 100 IT services providers operating in Germany as well as around 120 medium-sized and large user companies. Results are included as a graphic evaluation, commented on and classified on the basis of long-term market observation.
The Survey was published in July 2023 in German language and is available for free download.
