The top ten facilities management companies grew 8.6 per cent year-on-year in 2022. This is a significant increase compared to 2020, when the companies increased their revenues by 0.3 per cent in the shadow of the pandemic. The ten leading providers account for around 20 per cent of facilities services market volumes in Switzerland, estimated by Lünendonk at CHF 12.5 billion.
The facility management providers see important impulses for market development in the increased importance of sustainability in the real estate industry.
Market leader ISS generated revenues of 772.7 million Swiss francs in 2022 and had 12,000 employees. Included in these figures are the revenue and employee numbers for Livit FM, acquired by ISS from Swiss Life. Bouygues Energies & Services comes second, with total revenues of 479 million Swiss francs, thanks in part to the acquisition of Equans (formerly Engie). Bouygues thus made significant inroads into the lead of first-placed ISS, shrinking the gap between from 377 million to 293 million Swiss francs. CBRE Global Workplace Solutions completes the top three with revenues of 325.6 million Swiss francs (+4.5%).

At least 50% of revenues are generated from facilities management, at least 66% of revenues from external business and at least 66% of facilities management revenues from infrastructure and technical facilities management.
