After IT service providers grew by an average of more than ten percent per year between 2015 and 2023, demand is now stabilizing at a low level. In 2025, positive growth impulses came primarily from international business. The weak performance in the German market is largely attributable to declining revenue shares in the automotive industry and the public sector. In the automotive industry, the share fell from 13.2 to 11.2 percent, and in the public sector by one percentage point to 13.9 percent. The strong dependency on large corporations placed particular pressure on mid-sized IT consulting and system integration companies in the weak investment environment: every second euro of revenue comes from clients with annual revenues of more than two billion euros.     <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" data-block-type=\"core\">These are findings from the new L\u00fcnendonk Survey &#8220;The Market for IT Services in Germany,&#8221; which will be published at the end of July 2026. The L\u00fcnendonk Ranking 2026 &#8220;Leading Mid-Sized IT Consulting and System Integration Companies in Germany&#8221; is now available for free download at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.luenendonk.de\/en\/produkt\/luenendonk-list-2025-leading-mid-sized-it-consulting-and-system-integration-companies-in-germany-kopie\/\">www.luenendonk.de<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" data-block-type=\"core\"><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong>The Ranking at a Glance<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" data-block-type=\"core\">In the current L\u00fcnendonk Ranking, Conet holds first place. With revenue growth of 12.5 percent to total revenues of 341.2 million euros, the Bonn-based company reclaims the top position from Allgeier, which held the leading spot in the L\u00fcnendonk Ranking 2025. Following a portfolio restructuring and the sale of business units, Allgeier achieves total revenues of 327.6 million euros in second place, followed by Senacor with total revenues of 248.0 million euros. Fourth place goes to init, which grew by 7.5 percent through the acquisition of HBSN, a specialist in digital transformation in the healthcare sector. The top 5 is completed by Cosmo Consult. With revenue growth of 10.2 percent, the company ranks among the fastest-growing IT consultancies of 2025.       <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" data-block-type=\"core\">AdEx (+15.8%) and Infomotion (+15.3%) each grew by more than 15 percent \u2014 through both organic and inorganic effects. In addition to Conet and Cosmo Consult, Dataciders (+10.6%) and PPI (+10.2%) also achieved double-digit growth. New entries in the current L\u00fcnendonk Ranking are x1F in 7th place, Dataciders in 15th place, iteratec in 23rd place, and Arineo in 25th place.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" data-block-type=\"core\">&#8220;Some IT service providers had to record in some cases significant revenue declines in 2025. Those most affected were providers with a high dependency on industries in crisis, such as export-oriented manufacturing and the automotive sector,&#8221; explains Mario Zillmann, outlining the challenges faced by a number of mid-sized IT consultancies. &#8220;At the same time, the declines partly reflect a strategic realignment: some companies have restructured their portfolios and divested services that were no longer in demand given changing client requirements, or that were no longer profitable,&#8221; Zillmann continues. Four mid-sized IT consulting and system integration companies even had to absorb double-digit revenue losses: Consileon, Seven Principles, team neusta, and HyPlus.  <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" data-block-type=\"core\"><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong>Forecast for 2026 Revised Downward<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" data-block-type=\"core\">The economic outlook for the current year 2026 and 2027 remains subdued, and the weak investment climate is also weighing on the mid-sized IT consulting and system integration companies surveyed. The average revenue forecast for 2026 stands at 8.5 percent; however, this figure has been revised downward compared to the forecasts made at the beginning of 2025 for the year 2026. &#8220;Many IT service providers will need to adapt to weaker demand in the coming years while simultaneously investing in new markets. The L\u00fcnendonk Ranking is part of the L\u00fcnendonk Survey &#8220;The Market for IT Services in Germany,&#8221; for which more than 100 IT service providers and just under 200 IT decision-makers from upper mid-sized companies as well as large enterprises and corporate groups were surveyed. L\u00fcnendonk defines mid-sized IT consulting and system integration companies as companies headquartered in Germany with revenues of up to 500 million euros. At least 60 percent of revenues must be generated from IT or management consulting, software development or implementation, and system integration.
