The digitisation budgets and revenues of the ten leading internal IT service providers in Germany grew by an average of around 12 per cent in 2023. Drivers for this increase were the growing pressure to digitalise allied with the prevailing shortage of skilled workers. For the firth time now, Lünendonk has published a ranking of the leading internal IT service providers by revenue. This includes companies that generate more than 90 percent of their revenue from IT services within an organisation and are legally independent companies.
Together, these ten service providers generated revenues of around 13 billion euros last year, employing over 54,000 people. The in-house IT service providers also expect positive revenue developments for the current year (2024). The Lünendonk® List forms the basis for the Lünendonk® Survey, which was published at August 2024 and which is available for free download. In addition to more than 100 IT service providers, almost 150 IT managers from the upper midmarket as well as from large companies and corporations were surveyed for this study.

Criteria for inclusion in the Lünendonk® List:
Companies that generate more than 90 percent of their revenues with IT services such as the operation of applications, infrastructure and the cloud, IT consulting, software development and systems integration, and IT provider management within an organization and are a legally independent company can be included in the market sample. Legal entities under public law such as institutions under public law were not included.

In der Lünendonk®-Studie 2024 „The Lünendonk® Survey 2024 “The Market for IT Services in Germany” will include information based on 100 IT services providers operating in Germany as well as close to 150 medium-sized and large user companies. Results are included as a graphic evaluation, commented on and classified on the basis of long-term market observation.
The new survey was published in August 2024 in German language and is available for free download.
