The top 25 IT consultancies in Germany grew by an average of 4.7 per cent (previous year: 10.0 %) in Germany during 2020, a year overshadowed by COVID. In total, they generated turnover of 15.2 billion euros within Germany. Average staffing numbers in Germany increased by 4.5 per cent year-on-year. Particular areas of focus for companies seeking external support from IT consultants were cloud transformation, the development of e-commerce solutions and IT modernisation.
The market leader continues to be Accenture, followed by IBM and Capgemini. The fastest-growing businesses in 2020 were Capgemini, Wipro and adesso. Conet is a new entry to the Lünendonk® List. For more information, please see our press release.
The Lünendonk® List forms the basis for the Lünendonk® Survey which was published in August 2021. For this study, more than 85 IT service providers with operations in Germany along with more than 130 corporate users were comprehensively polled between February and April 2021.

Lünendonk® List admission criteria:
More than 60 per cent of turnover or significantly high segment revenues are generated from management and IT consulting, systems integration, and software development and implementation, or supplying in-house IT specialists for customer projects. The majority of turnover must be generated from the external market.
